I want to pursue career in the field of research. Can I get 5 years integreted MSc in NIT Rourkella?

I just want to (question from my soul and want answer from nature and thus unite them through this process) that is what i call research. No research institute like iisc ,iiser, niser accepted me. And i get a hope from nit rourkela Msc physics.can it help me... what actually this course contains...can i get any opportunity in between to carry out resarch. my family is not supporting me for this. They want me to do Btech in Cs .......... Please tell me about opportunities i may get after doing this 5 year course(with salary details to satisfy my parents)........... please tell everything if you find relevant and i have not asked.

Msc from NIT Rourkella is not a bad option. But NITs are not oriented for research based courses.

As far as research is concerned, you can pursue your passion along with B.Tech as well. There are lot of summer research fellowship(as mentioned before). If you qualify for KVPY during your engineering, you would get the best environment and support to carry out research work. Additionally you can do MS after BE to carry out research in basic and natural sciences.

Ultimately you have to decide bt NITs won't be the dream place to be if you want to pursue research as career. You will find plethora of info regarding MS on internet.

Doing MSc you would pursue research in the field of Basic Science, while pursuing BE you can carry out research activity in the field of Engineering and Technology. So dont feel that if you choose BE, you will have to compromise with your passion. I have always maintained that NITr may not be the best place for MSc, but ofcourse it is not a bad option,
Decision is completely yours
